Maximising Crop Potential
Spray tank additives designed to optimise the efficiency and efficacy of foliar fertilisers and trace elements
OptipHol and KALM are a range of spray tank additives, specifically formulated to be used with foliar fertiliser and trace element applications.
USES:
For the modification of the pH of the spray tank water, which can optimise the rate of dissolution of trace elements and prolong the time of absorption on the leaf surface.
COMPOSITION
An aqueous solution of propionic and citric acids, with biodegradable surfactants.
PROBLEMS CONTROLLED
In some areas the pH of water used for spraying can be as high as 8.5. When the pH of spray tank water is above 6.5, some trace elements, such as manganese, are subject to alkaline hydrolysis (the conversion of the trace element salts to the insoluble hydroxide form). This can occur in the spray tank or on the leaf surface. OptipHol acidifies the spray tank water, reducing the pH and eliminating unwanted hydrolysis.
USES:
For the dispersion and elimination of foaming in spray tanks.
COMPOSITION
An aqueous concentrate containing activated siloxame polymers.
PROBLEMS CONTROLLED:
Strong agitation and circulation of spray tank solutions can lead to unwanted excessive foaming. KALM disperses the foam and prevents it from re-occurring.
METHOD OF USE:
Remove the protective cap, direct the jet over the surface of the spray tank solution and squeeze the bottle. Continue until the foam subsides.
PACK SIZE: 1 litre.
