Maximising Crop Potential
Reduces zinc deficiency to improve the skin finish and cell membrance intagrity of potato roots and tubers.
This range of dry-flowable, suspension concentrate and micro-granular, high analysis zinc-based products is designed for application to seed tubers and soil to reduce zinc deficiency and enhance the cell membrane integrity of potato roots and tubers.
To be effective zinc must be placed as close as possible to the tubers as zinc is very immobile in the soil.
ZINC D.P. is a very finely divided powder for application to seed tubers prior to planting.
ZIN-CAB is a free-flowing, finely divided micro-granule formulated for application through Horstine Farmery equipment to provide good distribution into the tuber zone.

Where severe deficiencies occur, more than 1 application may be required.
The application of elemental zinc to the soil is restricted to 15kg Zn/ha/yr by statutory force. The soil status of zinc should be slowly raised to 6mg/l where potatoes are grown for seed.
Often the soil deficiency of zinc does not occur alone; other nutrients may be deficient, particularly copper and manganese. The application of only one nutrient may increase growth rate and cause a nutrient, which is borderline, to become deficient. Therefore, the soil status of copper, manganese, zinc and other nutrients should be monitored together so that applications of one element do not reduce the availability of another.
For full details of application rates, refer to the Product label.
