A New Type of Foliar Growth Promoter Supplied as an Easy-to-use Liquid

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Accelerator works by supplying the plant with simple sugars which are readily absorbed by the plant. Applied at an early growth stage when sugar production within the plant is restricted by the amount of photosynthesis and small leaf area. Accelerator supplies extra vital sugars which are used by the plant to accelerate its metabolic processes. This “kick starts” the plant into earlier activity, which is continued through to maturity and results in higher yields.

However, this is not the whole story. Accelerator also contains natural growth hormones known as betaines and cytokinius, derived from seaweed extract, which is part of Accelerator’s formulation. The action of these substances is well-documented and they are widely used as growth promoters throughout agriculture and horticulture. Their effect in Accelerator’s formulation is to boost the plants response to the application of extra sugars.

Having accelerated the plant's early activity, it is then important to make sure it has enough nutrients to make the necessary extra foliage etc. Therefore we have added a nutrient base of 2% w/w N, 4% w/w P2O5, 4% w/w K20, 1% Mg and added trace elements to provide a carefully balanced “feed” for the plant at that stage of growth.

Finally, to ensure that the benefits of this unique product are fully utilised by the plant, we have added a highly effective wetting agent which ensures that it is fully absorbed into the leaf.

TIMING OF APPLICATIONS
Accelerator should be applied approximately 2-4 weeks after emergence when 90-100% of the plants are 6 to 12 inches high (15-30 cms)

APPLICATION RATE
Maize - 20 litres/Ha in 200 litres of water. Packed in 20 litre containers, 32 per pallet

COMPATIBILITY
Accelerator is widely compatible with other agrochemicals. However, we strongly advise a “bucket test”, mixing Accelerator and the agrochemical to be used, to test for physical compatibility.

TANK MIXING
Two-thirds fill the spray tank with water and agitate well then add Accelerator. Top up the spray tank and continue agitating until all of the product is sprayed.
